Frequently asked questions

The questions I always get

And if one of yours is missing, call me and we'll sort it out in two minutes. No forms in between and no salespeople.

Days, not weeks. I configure your private instance, load your staff list, define sections and shifts and train your team. Most centres start clocking within the first week.

No. VeltoCare runs in any browser: the admin computer you already have, a tablet at reception for the kiosk or the presence QR, and each employee's phone. There is nothing to install.

They don't need one. The kiosk works with a 5-digit PIN on the centre's tablet, and the QR presence screen never asks the worker to log in anywhere. The phone is an option, not a requirement.

Each centre gets its own instance with its own subdomain and its own separate database: your data is never mixed with another client's. Access is encrypted over HTTPS, backups run automatically, and every user sees only what their role allows.

That is exactly what it is built for. The working-time record is tamper-proof and chained with verifiable hashes, it is kept for more than four years, and there is a dedicated portal with an API for the inspectorate: the inspector logs in with their own key and reads the records without touching your admin panel.

It gets corrected, never deleted. Every edit or annulment requires a reason and is recorded with its author and date inside the same integrity chain. That traceability is precisely what gives the record evidential value.

The initial contract runs for 12 months. After that it renews automatically and you can cancel with 30 days' notice. The fee is fixed: it does not go up because you hire more people.

As many as you need. The price is per centre, not per worker, so your team can grow without the fee moving.

Where it starts

Running a care home does not fit in a spreadsheet

It is not about being organised. The sheer volume of shifts, swaps, absences and clock-ins in a care home is more than a shared spreadsheet can hold without breaking.

Three versions of the same rota

The spreadsheet goes back and forth on WhatsApp. Nobody knows which one is current, and Saturday's shift ends up with two people on it… or none.

Sign-in sheets that prove nothing

Filled in all at once on Friday. No real times, no traceability and no value at all if anyone challenges them.

Six in the morning and someone calls in sick

Blind phone calls until somebody can come in, with no idea who is off, who is piling up hours or whose turn it is.

Overtime that shows up in the payroll

Without a reliable count the mismatch is found late: once it has been paid, or once the employee claims it.

Holidays that overlap

Two care assistants from the same section, the same week in August. You find out once both are already approved.

And if the inspector calls tomorrow

Rebuilding twelve months of working time by hand, from loose paper and e-mails, while the inspector waits.

Guillermo Pérez Piquer
Who is behind it

You will not be talking to a salesperson

I am Guillermo Pérez Piquer, the developer of VeltoCare. The demo, the setup, the training and the support are all done by me. When something breaks or you need a change, you talk directly to the person who can fix it that same afternoon —not to a first-line agent opening a ticket.

That is the real advantage of working with a small, well-kept product instead of a platform that assigns you a customer number.

Shall we look at it with your own rota?

Half an hour on a video call, with your sections and your staff list on the table. No sales deck and no commitment.
